How to Care for Your Confiter Jewelry
We want your jewelry to shine for as long as possible. Our pieces are crafted to last, but all jewelry requires a little love and care.
1. The "Last On, First Off" Rule
Put your jewelry on after you have applied lotions, perfumes, and hairspray. Chemicals in these products can interact with the metal and cause tarnishing. Take your jewelry off first before changing clothes to avoid snagging.
2. Avoid Water & Sweat
-
Remove jewelry before showering, swimming (pool or ocean), or exercising.
-
Chlorine and salt water are especially harsh on gold plating.
3. Storage is Key
-
Store your pieces individually in the Confiter pouch or box provided.
-
Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity (the bathroom is not ideal!).
4. Cleaning
-
Gently wipe your jewelry with a soft, dry cotton cloth after wearing to remove skin oils.
-
Do not use jewelry cleaners or polishing cloths intended for solid gold/silver on plated jewelry, as they can strip the plating.
